Welcome to the Parsippany-Troy Hills Safe Kids in Parsippany

SKIP is a before and after school care program designed to provide healthy physical and academic activities, social and emotional development, and artistic opportunities for students.

All ten elementary schools, Eastlake, Intervale, Knollwood, Lake Hiawatha, Lake Parsippany, Littleton, Mount Tabor, Northvail, Rockaway Meadow, and Troy Hills, will begin school at 8:55 a.m. and end at 3:25 p.m. There are no changes in pre-school hours.

If any child enrolled in a school district has an unexcused absence from school for five consecutive school days, the attendance officer of the district shall investigate the absence and notify the district superintendent of the absence.

The New Jersey Student Learning Standards imply that whole-grade acceleration, or grade skipping, is permitted.

The New Jersey Department of Educationnotes online only K-8 students living more than two miles away from school and high schoolers living more than two-and-a-half miles away are guaranteed free transportation.

Under Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 71, Section 68, students in grades K-6 who reside more than 2.0 miles walking distance to their neighborhood school are entitled to free transportation. Special education transportation services are separate from regular bus transportation and are not affected.
