Do I have to create a Larian account? ›

Setting up a Larian Studios Account is completely optional, and not doing so will not prevent you from playing the Game. However, it might limit your access to certain content or features available.

When you start Baldur's Gate 3 for the first time, you might feel pressured to sign up for a Larian Account to play the game. However, this is a surprisingly common misconception. You can simply skip the sign-up messages and such and start playing!

A Larian Studios account gives you access to our online services, such as Cross Save, as well as exclusive content. The Larian Account backend is also in early access and the services provided will grow over time.

Need account in Larian Studios for play Multiplayer? You don't. Nope. The Larian account is purely for cross-save functionality, I believe.
