10. Party Decorations

Whether you’re planning a Halloween, Christmas, birthday, or even an anniversary or wedding party, you don’t have to break the bank to decorate.

You can use my Nightmare Before Christmas illustrations in a variety of ways for inexpensive yet inspired party décor.

For example, you could use them to create table centerpieces, napkin rings, or place settings.

They would work well as cutouts for labels at your food table or simply colored in, framed, and hung up on the walls.

There are so many possibilities – get online and search for Nightmare Before Christmas-themed parties for even more inspo!

9. Masks

Delight your kids with this mask craft, which will really up any costume they might have for Halloween.

Find a picture featuring the face – prominently – that you want to use and copy/paste the illustration into a word processor document.

You’ll then isolate just the face and resize it so that it will fit your kids’ heads. Print that off and have the kiddos color in the mask as much or as little as they want.

They’ll then cut out the face and cut out two circles where their eyes will go.

Next, they’ll poke two holes on either side of the face and tie off pieces of string, long enough so that they can tie the strings behind their heads.

8. Wrapping Paper

For any Nightmare Before Christmas fan, you can use my illustrations as wrapping paper for a smaller item (or a larger item if you tape four print-outs together!).

Pick the picture that best suits your recipient and color it in, then lay it picture-side down.

Place the item you’re wrapping in the middle and draw up the sides of the page, taping them down one by one.

When you flip it over, the picture should be prominently displayed!

7. Christmas Tree Ornaments

You can make Christmas tree ornaments with my Nightmare Before Christmas pictures – all you need are shrink sheets!

You’ll print the figures you want to use onto the shrink sheets and have your kids color them with markers.

They’ll cut them out and then punch holes near the top (or wherever they want the ornament to hang). Bake them and let them cool.

Then you’ll string a black or red ribbon through the hole, tying it off into a bow. Your ornaments are ready for hanging!

6. Paper Dolls

Your kids can create cute Nightmare Before Christmas paper dolls to recreate scenes from the movie or make up their own scenarios.

To do this, you’ll print out the characters they want to use and have them color in and cut them out.

They’ll then trace them against cardstock or construction paper then cut out those outlines.

Paste the two pieces together, and you have sturdy, durable paper dolls that can withstand all kinds of play.

5. Christmas Wreaths

For an easy Christmas craft, you’ll need a ready-made plain wreath, shrink sheets, a hot glue gun, and any other ribbon or lace you want to include.

You’re going to print out different characters onto the shrink sheets and have your kids color them in with markers.

They’ll cut them out, and you’ll bake them, then let them cool.

Once they’re cooled, you can hot glue them to the wreath in whatever arrangement you like, alternating with a ribbon tied in bows, fake spiders, etc.

4. Spiderweb Halloween Decorations

To spice up your next Halloween party, you can buy plain plastic spiderwebs online at Amazon, then decorate them with my Nightmare Before Christmas characters.

You can use their entire bodies or cut out just their faces.

Glue on some fake spiders as well and hang the webs on the walls or in doorways.

3. Zero Hanging Decorations

To make the adorable ghost pup Zero, you’ll need a stick from outside that measures about 10 to 12 inches long.

You’ll drape either a large napkin or a small piece of bed sheet, or even a pillowcase over it.

Then you’ll use the Nightmare Before Christmas Zero coloring page and cut out just its head. Hot glue that to one end of the fabric-covered stick.

Cut a small hole near the middle of the stick and tie a piece of string around it, creating a loop.

You can use this to hang up your Zero – from the ceiling, against a wall, or even in a window.

2. Keychains

Turn my Nightmare Before Christmas characters into cute keychains in just a few steps.

You’ll need shrink sheets, onto which you will print the figures you want to use. Have your kids color them in with markers and then cut them out.

Next, they’ll punch holes where they want the keychain hardware to attach, then bake in the oven.

Once they’ve cooled, you can affix the keychain hardware and have a neat accessory for your wallet, backpack, or purse.

Buy cheap ceramic plates from the dollar store and pick up some Mod Podge while you’re there.

You’re going to color in and cut out whichever Nightmare characters you want to use and then Mod-Podge them to the plates (you might have to resize them before printing).

Let them dry completely, and remember that Mod Podge isn’t food safe, so don’t eat off them!
